Taxus x media Maureen

Taxus × media ‘Maureen’ is a refined yew cultivar selected for its upright, narrowly pyramidal form and dense evergreen foliage. Developed to provide a more architectural alternative to spreading yews, it maintains strong vertical lines while remaining softer in texture than many columnar evergreens. Dark green needles create a rich, classic look year-round and respond well to light pruning if shaping is desired. It grows best in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil, with a slow to moderate growth rate. Hardy in USDA Zones 4–7, it typically reaches 10–15 feet tall and works well as a specimen, screen, or formal accent.
