Taxus baccata Watnong Gold

Taxus baccata ‘Watnong Gold’ is a striking golden yew selected for its rich, warm yellow foliage and dense, upright to broadly pyramidal form. This cultivar is notable for holding its color well through the growing season, particularly in brighter light. Darker green interior foliage adds depth and contrast to the outer golden growth. It performs well in full sun to partial shade and prefers evenly moist, well-drained soil, with a moderate growth rate. Hardy in USDA Zones 6–8, it matures into a substantial evergreen shrub or small tree suited to specimen use and formal hedging.
