Abies koreana ‘Silber Mavers’ originated as a compact selection of Korean fir, valued for its refined habit and pronounced silvery foliage. Chosen for its dense branching and naturally slow growth, this cultivar offers the durability of the species in a smaller, highly ornamental form. It grows slowly, typically adding 1–3″ per year, forming a tight, rounded to broadly conical shape over time. The short, slightly upturned needles display deep green surfaces with bright, silvery-white undersides that shimmer in the light, creating a soft, frosted effect that remains attractive throughout the year.
