Abies koreana ‘Alpin Star’

Abies koreana ‘Alpin Star’ originated as a compact selection of Korean fir, chosen for its tight habit and exceptional cold hardiness. Selected for its naturally dwarf character and tidy form, this cultivar offers the durability of the species in a smaller, garden-friendly package. It grows slowly, typically adding 2–3″ per year, forming a dense, rounded mound over time. The short, glossy needles are deep green above with bright silvery undersides that flash in the light, giving the plant a crisp, star-like sparkle and year-round appeal in rock gardens and small landscapes.
