Tsuga canadensis Forest Fountain

Tsuga canadensis ‘Forest Fountain’ is a graceful weeping selection of eastern hemlock chosen for its flowing, fountain-like habit. Unlike broad spreading pendula forms, this cultivar develops a more contained cascade, creating movement without overwhelming surrounding plants. Soft, dark green needles accentuate the drooping branches and give the plant a calm woodland character. It grows best in partial shade with cool, evenly moist, well-drained soil and appreciates protection from hot afternoon sun. Hardy in USDA Zones 3–7, it is especially effective as a specimen in shaded gardens and naturalistic landscapes.
