Cryptomeria japonica Gotelli

Cryptomeria japonica ‘Gotelli’ is a refined dwarf Japanese cedar selected for its compact size and softly layered, deep green foliage. Unlike faster-growing cryptomerias, this cultivar develops slowly and deliberately, forming a dense, rounded to irregular habit that feels calm and composed in the garden. It performs best in full sun to partial shade with evenly moist, well-drained soil. Hardy in USDA Zones 5–9, it remains modest in stature over many years and is well suited for small gardens, containers, and curated conifer collections.
