Cryptomeria japonica Compacta

Cryptomeria japonica ‘Compacta’ is a dense, slow-growing form of Japanese cedar selected for its reduced size and tidy, pyramidal habit. Rich green foliage and closely layered branches give it a classic evergreen appearance on a more manageable scale. It grows best in full sun to partial shade with evenly moist, well-drained soil and requires little maintenance once established. Hardy in USDA Zones 5–9, it remains smaller than the species and works well in residential landscapes and conifer groupings.
