Thuja occidentalis Europe Gold

Thuja occidentalis ‘Europe Gold’ is a classic golden arborvitae long valued for its bright yellow foliage and soft, upright habit. Introduced from Europe, this cultivar was favored for bringing warm color into northern landscapes, especially in spring and summer. Foliage emerges vivid gold and gradually softens to yellow-green, with some bronzing possible in winter. It grows best in full sun to partial shade with evenly moist, well-drained soil and develops at a moderate rate. Hardy in USDA Zones 3–7, it typically matures at 8–12 feet tall and is well suited for colorful hedges and mixed evergreen plantings.
