Taxodium distichum Peve Minaret
Taxodium distichum ‘Peve Minaret’ is a narrow, upright selection developed in Europe to bring the elegance of bald cypress into tight urban and residential spaces. This cultivar maintains a slender, columnar silhouette while retaining the species’ signature soft foliage and strong seasonal color. Green needles turn glowing orange-brown in fall before shedding cleanly for winter. It performs best in full sun and tolerates wet or periodically flooded soils, with a moderate growth rate. Hardy in USDA Zones 4–9, it typically reaches 20–30 feet tall while remaining notably narrow, making it ideal for vertical accents and formal plantings.
