Pinus uncinata Silver Candles

Pinus uncinata ‘Silver Candles’ is a striking mountain pine selection prized for its bright, silvery-white spring candles that stand upright like glowing tapers. Native to the high elevations of the Pyrenees and Alps, the species is adapted to harsh conditions, and this cultivar highlights that rugged heritage with ornamental flair. As the candles mature, they soften to blue-green needles that form a compact, upright to irregular habit. It grows best in full sun with well-drained soil and has a slow to moderate growth rate.
