Picea abies Crippsii

Picea abies ‘Crippsii’ is a striking golden Norway spruce valued for its bright yellow new growth that emerges in spring before softening to chartreuse and green. Introduced in England, this cultivar develops an upright, broadly pyramidal form with strong seasonal color contrast. Full sun is essential to maintain its vivid coloration, along with evenly moist, well-drained soil. It grows at a moderate rate compared to dwarf selections. Hardy in USDA Zones 3–7, it matures into a medium-sized evergreen that makes an excellent specimen or accent tree.
