Microbiota decussens Carnival

Microbiota decussata ‘Carnival’ is a colorful selection of Siberian cypress valued for its low, spreading habit and lively foliage tones. This cultivar displays soft green needles with creamy to yellow highlights during the growing season, often deepening to bronze and purplish hues in winter. Native species heritage gives it excellent cold tolerance and durability in exposed sites. It grows best in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil and develops at a slow to moderate pace. Hardy in USDA Zones 2–7, it remains under 1–2 feet tall while spreading outward, making it an excellent groundcover for cold-climate gardens.
