Juniperus communis Sentinel

Juniperus communis ‘Sentinel’ is a narrowly upright common juniper selected for its strong vertical form and tidy, columnar habit. Unlike broader common junipers, this cultivar maintains a tight silhouette, making it useful where height is desired without width. Blue-green needles provide year-round color and excellent cold tolerance, even in exposed sites. It grows best in full sun with sharply drained soil and has a slow to moderate growth rate. Hardy in USDA Zones 3–7, it typically reaches 10–15 feet tall while remaining slender and architectural.
