Ilex vomitoria Yaupon Dwarf
Ilex vomitoria ‘Yaupon Dwarf’ is a compact evergreen shrub selected from the native yaupon holly for its dense, naturally rounded habit and fine-textured foliage. Unlike standard yaupon, this dwarf form grows slowly and stays tidy without frequent pruning. It tolerates full sun to partial shade and adapts well to a wide range of soils, including sandy and coastal conditions. Hardy in USDA Zones 7–10, it typically reaches 3–5 feet tall and wide, making it an excellent low hedge, foundation plant, or evergreen anchor in southern landscapes.
