Buxus microphylla Morris Midget
Buxus microphylla ‘Morris Midget’ is a true miniature boxwood selected for its tight, rounded habit and exceptionally slow growth. This dwarf cultivar forms a dense, evergreen mound with fine-textured foliage, making it an excellent choice for low borders, small formal gardens, and container plantings. It performs best in partial shade to full sun with evenly moist, well-drained soil and benefits from some protection from extreme heat. Hardy in USDA Zones 6–9, it typically reaches about 1–1.5 feet tall and wide over many years and maintains its shape with minimal pruning.
