Acer saccharum Appolo
Acer saccharum ‘Apollo’ is a distinctive columnar sugar maple selected for its narrow, upright habit and classic maple durability. Unlike the broad form of the species, this cultivar grows tall and tight, making it well suited for streetscapes, narrow lawns, and vertical accents. It thrives in full sun to partial shade with deep, well-drained soil and grows at a moderate rate once established. Hardy in USDA Zones 4–8, it typically reaches 40–50 feet tall while remaining relatively narrow, offering strong structure and excellent fall color in constrained spaces.
