Rhododendron azalea Flame Creeper
Rhododendron (Azalea) ‘Flame Creeper’ is a low-growing, spreading azalea selected for its fiery orange-red spring blooms and ground-hugging habit. Unlike upright azaleas, this cultivar was developed to cascade gently across slopes and edges, creating a carpet of color when in bloom. Semi-evergreen foliage provides seasonal structure, while the vivid flowers attract pollinators in early spring. It grows best in partial shade with acidic, well-drained soil and consistent moisture. Hardy in USDA Zones 6–9, it remains compact and spreading, making it ideal for slopes, woodland borders, and foundation plantings.
