Pinus strobus Fastigata
Pinus strobus ‘Fastigiata’ is a narrow, upright selection of eastern white pine valued for its columnar form and soft, elegant foliage. This slow-growing pine develops a tight, vertical habit with ascending branches and long, flexible blue-green needles that maintain the species’ characteristic softness while occupying minimal horizontal space. Over time, it typically reaches 20–30 feet tall with a much narrower spread. ‘Fastigiata’ thrives in full sun and prefers well-drained soil, adapting well once established. Its strong vertical structure and refined texture make it ideal for screens, accents, and landscapes seeking a tall, narrow evergreen with classic white pine character.
