Chamaecyparis thyoides ‘Red Velvet’ is a striking Atlantic white cedar cultivar known for its rich burgundy to purplish-red winter coloration. During the growing season, foliage is blue-green, deepening dramatically as temperatures cool for strong seasonal contrast. It prefers full sun for best color and grows well in moist, acidic, well-drained soil.
