Chamaecyparis obtusa Nana Lutea

Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘Nana Lutea’ is a golden form of dwarf Hinoki cypress valued for its bright yellow new growth that matures to warm chartreuse and gold. This cultivar forms a low, irregular mound with finely layered sprays that bring color and texture to the landscape year-round. It grows best in full sun to partial shade, with brighter light enhancing its golden tones, and has an extremely slow growth rate. Hardy in USDA Zones 5–8, it remains compact and is ideal for rock gardens, containers, and color-focused conifer groupings.
