Chamaecyparis obtusa Little Markie

Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘Little Markie’ is a miniature Hinoki cypress selected for its exceptionally compact size and dense, finely textured foliage. This slow-growing cultivar forms a tight, rounded mound that maintains its shape naturally without pruning. It grows best in full sun to partial shade with evenly moist, well-drained soil and develops gradually over many years. Hardy in USDA Zones 5–8, it remains very small at maturity, making it ideal for troughs, rock gardens, and collectors of true dwarf conifers.
