Hydrangea quercifolia Munchkin

Hydrangea quercifolia ‘Munchkin’ is a compact oakleaf hydrangea developed by the U.S. National Arboretum for smaller landscapes. This cultivar produces large, upright white flower panicles in early summer that gradually age to soft pink tones. The bold, oak-shaped leaves add texture through the growing season and turn rich shades of red and burgundy in fall. It performs best in partial shade with well-drained, evenly moist soil. Hardy in USDA Zones 5–9, it typically reaches 3–4 feet tall and wide with a naturally tidy habit.
