Chamaecyparis obtusa Torulosa Nana
Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘Torulosa Nana’ is a distinctive dwarf Hinoki cypress prized for its twisted, rope-like foliage and compact, irregular form. The contorted sprays create a sculptural texture that stands apart from more traditional Hinoki types. It grows best in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil and has a very slow, controlled growth rate. Hardy in USDA Zones 5–8, it remains small over many years and is an excellent choice for collectors, rock gardens, and fine-scale plantings.
